Sacred Art: The Art of Making your Own Poppets
In the rich tradition of folk magick, Europeans used handmade dolls called poppets as meditative tools and creative though forms. Poppets have been around for a long time, and used in a number of different cultures and religious belief systems to manifest a desired result.
This class will explore the basics and creative techniques of magical object crafting by incorporating an intention into a handmade poppet.
Topics Include:
The making of poppets: including sewing, stuffing, patterns and personalization!
How different magickal systems use a variety poppets
The use of correspondents including: colors, herbs and crystals
Handouts and materials will be provided including unique herb, mineral and crystal mixtures to add to your very own poppet.
Tuition $25.00. Payable on our website (look at classes and events section) or at the store. Pre-registration and payment is essential to ensure a space and that sufficient materials will be available.
